Worked with a guy who went on a monkey hunt with the Sheriff’s office in Forney, TX back in the early 60’s. He said it was surreal and morbidly satisfying.

They urinate and defaecate in and on everything......but the people there feed them...... They 'believe' Monkeys are the living representatives of the cherished Hindu god Hanuman, and Hindu tradition calls for feeding monkeys on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Around 90% of the monkeys carry tuberculosis.

India has the highest number of stray dogs in the world – somewhere around 30 million and reported about 20,000 human deaths from rabies — mostly of poor people and children — in 2014. ...India’s laws do not allow for humane euthanasia for dogs.
