Beta O’Dork is indeed a total lightweight, but he is candid about being a hard left ‘rat. The positions really define the two candidates at a visceral, popular level. Crass but clear.
I expect Beta to lose hard, but also - unless there is tampering - he will be a good litmus test for how much to the left Texas has drifted with the steady infection of carpetbaggers and mojados. Cruz’s personality pluses and minuses aggregate to middle of the road ‘meh’. O’Dork is glib and more contemporary, but vapid and also ‘meh’, but there is no mistaking them as anything but polar opposites.
I don’t find either candidate as interesting as the showdown between them, itself. I think Texas will show some erosion from all the imported lefties over the years, but still be a red state.
Anyway, yeah, Trump nails a one line summary again. ‘Total lightweight’ for Beta O’Dork.

I would not put any credence into a Reuters poll, they are biased and Left. Last poll I heard about Cruz was up.

Oddly Beto will lose grandly in the election but will become a stalwart of the democrat party in the future.
Of notice in his campaign adds he is much darker than he really is, courtesy of Photoshop. In fact he is just as white as Ted Cruz. It is all about making an Irishman that speaks very good Spanish pretend to be a Mexican of which he is not.
