any word about deportation after they serve their puny sentences?
They're British citizens, mostly second or third generation, their families having arrived with the first influx of 'New Commonwealth' immigrants in the late 1950s and 1960s. There has been no lawful means to deport or banish a British citizen since the sentence of Transportation to he Colonies was abolished in the 1850s.
It’s possible. Another group called the “Rochdale Grooming Gang” were stripped of UK citizenship and were facing deportation to Pakistan. Looks like the story ends August 8th. Only says “could be deported”, otherwise they got prison time. (3 Members, prison time of 6, 8, and 9 years.)
