I believe Obama’s chief goal (which he achieved) was to preserve the “special status” of blacks despite lack of constitutional grounds (for affirmative action and such). At this point, they are angling for the same “wards of the state” designation (de facto reparations), and so far it looks like they’ve gotten it. The main obstacle seems to be the number of non-whites living in this country who won’t stand for it; the Asians challenging Harvard are a case in point. When white women are removed from the “preferred victims” list (as many blacks vocally demand), then that preferred status may just collapse at the ballot box.
