Just imagine how upset they would be if we said the same thing.

That is the same mindset that motivated Dingy Harry to drop the 60 vote rule: the mistaken belief that only they can benefit from a political move.

OK, since we have the power right now, let POTUS & the patriots beat them to it, and pack the SC ourselves!

Imagine their screams!

Like clockwork...

How about we beat them to the punch for a change? Drop the filibuster and pack the Court.

Trump was elected with a mandate to defund Planned Parenthood and overturn Roe v. Wade.

The RATs are making all this noise, but just how to they think with the likely margins of their ilk in the Congress should they manage to “retake” either or both Houses, do they think that they could get this accomplished? If they have a way to do it with a Republican President I’d like to see it.

Not good enough. They’d just add 7 if they could. A better solution is to pass a law forbidding court packing. A Constitutional Amendment would be better, but we don’t have the votes and it would take a long time.

If their god, FDR, could not pack the Court, what makes them think they do so?

Try this out:

“In their 2017 paper “How to Lose a Constitutional Democracy,” UChicago law professors Aziz Huq and Tom Ginsburg concur, writing, “The presidential effort to pack the Supreme Court represents a low point for the rule of law in the United States, and is a technique that has been followed by modern-day illiberal democrats.”
It’s not hard to see why political scientists taking a more international view would see court-packing as, on its face, a threat to democratic institutions. As Huq and Ginsburg note, court-packing is a frequently used tool in the toolkit of would-be authoritarians.”

But note that it is the PRESIDENT who gets to “pack” the Court, not the Congress.
The RATs are smoking some really good weed on this issue.

almost strange to see this article after I just posted yesterday, about how punative the Northern elites were to the South during/post Civil War that has carried on through today, but here we are.

So a question:
just how ‘political’ are professors whose institutions accept federal funding allowed to be? Alternately, if an institution claims federal tax-exempt status, how ‘political’ are professors allowed to be before the institution loses its tax-exempt status? And does the below caption qualify as hate speech?

“marginalizing those Republican “losers,” whom he compared to the defeated Japanese in World War II or the Confederacy in the Civil War”

The court-packing idea is just the dumbest of dumb ideas, and it’s a sad commentary on the idiocy of the left’s “Harvard intelligentsia” that they can’t see the obvious inherent flaws in the plan. To think that court-packing is a good idea is to assume that, once your side does it, the other side will never be in a position to retaliate. And how naive and dumb is that? As much as I’d love it if the Dems never again controlled the presidency and congress, anyone with any sense of history knows that there are pendulum swings and it’s unrealistic to think that your side will never be shut out of power. It’s happened many times before and it will likely happen again.

The Democrat Party is like a homicidal lover.

It says to America it strangles her, “If we can’t have you, nobody will.”
