The Cherokee Nation responded to the results of Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren's DNA test on Monday, arguing that a DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship. The response came after the Democratic senator revealed that, based on tests, she has Native-American ancestry in the range of 6-10 generations ago. "Current DNA tests do not even distinguish whether a persons ancestors were indigenous to North or South America," Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr. said in a press release.

My Dad’s sister in Oklahoma married a Cherokee cowboy and I am not making this up. Our family is part Creek and her children called themselves `Cherocreeks”.
Unlike Lizzie Lieawatha, our Indian bloodlines are genuine and I refuse to use the PC term `Native American’.

Native American ethnicity is the only one that the Federal government requires proof to claim. By falsely claiming it to get special privileges has she broken Federal law?
maybe she is a member of the Gopher Indians from the Underdog cartoon show.
For many Indian tribes, affiliation is based on parental percent as low as 1/16. The Cherokee Nation is based on genealogical records that trace decent. Warren does not meet any tribes criteria. Yet she has claimed an EEOC preference. Can anyone say fraud?
