Yes but I my point was that Williams was saying he served under Ike because Ike was over everyone (in his theater) so the equivalent would have been Macarthur or Nimitz in the Pacific. His specific boss was probably a Lieutenant or at most an LCDR, someone that the general public has never heard of.
