Its been more than four years since over $2 million was raised through crowdfunding to make a Kermit Gosnell movie, and today, that film finally hits theaters. But you might not know that.
We searched high and low for reviews of Gosnell: The Trial of Americas Biggest Serial Killer among the usual suspects, but reviews by mainstream critics for the Gosnell movie are scarce. Nearly non-existent, actually.

We saw it last night - excellent!
That’s funny. Most newspapers have weekly reviews of all kinds of obscure films - all of course “must-sees” for their groundbreaking depiction of etc. etc.
Not this one, though. Go figure.
What is so excellent about a baby murdering killer of a baby and mother!
“It looks like virtually all of the MSM movie critics have refused to review the movie.”
Well, as some one pointed out (maybe here on FR) a big part of the movie is how the MSM didn’t cover the story while it was happening. So you can’t really expect them to cover the story of them not covering the story, that’s really too big an ask for those deleterious nincompoops.
Why doesnt every church sermon this sunday encourage people to see this movie?
I am just a little bit surprised because I thought the MSM would bash the movie but their silence is telling.
The film never loses sight of the choir to which it is plainly preaching. October 11, 2018 | Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times*** Top Critic ------------
If you're not an avid right-wing media consumer, however, there's very little here to make this average effort extra-special. October 13, 2018 | Luke Y. Thompson Forbes ------------
Perhaps we should be glad that mainstream Hollywood, just like the mainstream media, had no interest in this story. It's almost impossible to believe they would have told it so well. October 11, 2018 | Megan Basham WORLD ------------
Well-acted and compelling. Even without going full-on graphic, the film achieves real power. October 9, 2018 | Rating: 3/4 | Mike McGranaghan Aisle Seat ------------
Gosnell delivers one of the most chilling portraits of evil we've seen in ages. October 8, 2018 | Rating: 3.5/4 | Christian Toto HollywoodInToto.com ------------
An effective true crime story that occasionally loses its way, but is able to get back on course enough to have an impact on the audience. October 5, 2018 | Tyler Smith Battleship Pretension

Keep in mind that 67% rating is the result of only six reviews. Just a few more negative reviews would skew the number much lower.
?
Husband and I just got back from seeing it. Very well done - except for the opening sequences about the raid, which were a bit gory, it was like a well-done detective movie. Very highly recommend it. Go see it before it disappears.
I saw this movie on Friday by myself. Best movie Ive see in a long time. Excellent.
Not sensational. Not gory. It was like watching a movie of Law and Order - only knowing it was true history.
Usually, I cry easily at movies. But no tears while watching this movie. After it was over I cried tears of joy. The truth is getting told. It is about time.
It was reported that it was a Republican governor who had blocked inspections of this facility. Too bad.
I don't see how the movie can be criticized for being a “right-wing pro-life movie”. I suppose it is in that it brings to light how gruesome abortions are - but the entire trial, which the movie is about - was based on the law and justice. I thought the movie did a good job of sticking to that premise.
Correct me if Im wrong. They did not show a dead baby.
Heck. At the University of California hospital they do abortions until 24 weeks of gestation. An RN who worked there says they started doing them for financial reasons. She couldnt tolerate it and quit.
No - they don’t. But you do get to see the faces of those who DO see the photos, or are told of some new evidence that makes them horrified. The images of their faces and responses are what had a deep impact on me.
No they do not show photos. However, at the end of the film they refer you to a website to see a photo of baby A, who was referred to in the trial. When my husband and I returned home we viewed the photo of a perfect beautiful baby boy estimated at 30 weeks, 6 pounds and 18 to 19 inches.
The prosecutors in the Gosnell trial made sure it was not about abortion. Babies were born alive and then he killed them.

Thank you. I will look for it tomorrow. All the babies are sad news. Just couldnt see them on the movie.
That precious baby boy suffered - no doubt. Im sorry. I am confident that He is with our God now.
I didnt mean to minimize the horror of it all. Ive known that it goes on right down the street from where I work. Late term abortions done at the University of California hospital. I myself have seen an op report done on an abortion done at 23 weeks. It weighs heavy on my heart.
