Fake News: “Mainstream” journalism in the age of POTUS Donald Trump has devolved from a semi-trusted source of information into a full-blown propaganda apparatus for the Democratic Party, as evidenced by an admission from New Yorker chief Washington correspondent Jane Mayer regarding allegations of sexual abuse against Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Mayer, along with reporter Ronan Farrow, ran with a story last month containing allegations by Deborah Ramirez, who claimed that Kavanaugh exposed his genitals to her face at a house party sometime in 1982.

Journalistic standards only apply to negative coverage of the left. A mere allegation, with no proof, is enough to run with if the target is Trump.
While ignoring the left’s attempt to establish a fraudulent pattern with unsubstantiated claims.
There is no excuse. The only explanation is you were in on the fraud, a guilty co-conspirator.
And if not true, slander and defamation? Sounds like organization should be sued, writer and editor fired.
When, as journalism students, they so often declare that they chose journalism “So I can make a difference”, the career path of “propagandist” has already been pre-ordained.

Rush highlighted this in a piece on a journalists’ conference in the 90’s. They were also, iirc, polled at 90%+ Democrat.
You can make the case that when Liddy pointed this out in the 90s was when a good many of us became FReepers.
Hard to imagine a clearer case of libel.
And the New Yorker is different and more credible than the National Enquirer and other tabloids why?
Maybe she is one of those that think women must be believed even when they are lying.
IOW - I decided to follow a baseless bunch of crap because I wanted it to be true and hoped it would end up being declared “fake but true enough”...

I spread all those “Catherine the Great” rumors about Jill Mayer just in case they were true.
The devolution of the “mainstream” media took place long before Donald Trump’s presidency.
The big lie she (they) are pushing is an attempt to justify their Fake News. Nothing noble about it. They did it because they hate Trump and Our Founding. They did it in an attempt to accrue power to the ‘Rats by telling scurrillous lies about an honorable man; Judge (now Justice) Kavanaugh.
