Beto O’Rourke’s response to a question during a Houston town hall meeting this past summer lasted only four minutes. But for some Democrats it said everything. It was authentic.
In an exchange that quickly went viral, the Democrat congressman and Senate hopeful was asked whether he found NFL players who knelt during the national anthem to be disrespectful. A passionate O’Rourke told the room of Texans, not necessarily a sympathetic crowd, that he could “think of nothing more American than to peacefully stand up, or take a knee, for your rights.”
Clips of his answer were viewed millions of times online, generating buzz in O’Rourke’s uphill battle against Republican Sen. Ted Cruz.
For national Democrats, it was the type of moment that epitomized a common buzzword in Democratic circles — “authenticity” — and the push to present candidates in a more open, unvarnished manner offering a window to their values.

Yep. This is one of those “If you can fake sincerity, you have it made” moments.
Only inauthentic (lying) socialists have a chance of winning anything. If they were honest about their intentions (gov’t fully controlling the means of production, the elimination of private property, confiscating all firearms, burning the Constitution, etc.) they’d win nothing, ever.
Even worse, this Ken Thomas makes Beto look even more fake and insincere by saying he’s “authentic”.

Without context, it is difficult to interpret just what Beto is saying here.
You kneel for the fallen and stand for the flag. If you want to take a knee for your rights you DO NOT do that during the National Anthem.
If Beto is giving the green light to player protests, then he joins the rest of the anti-American Democrats, Communists, and Socialists who hate this country and despise the Constitution.
If the Democrats are applauding Beto for telling the truth they, themselves, should start telling the truth. In reality Democrats would NOT be elected if they told the truth about their intentions in office (higher taxes, gender fluidity, murder of the unborn, more regulation and control of your lives).
Campaigning Democrats pretend that they are moderates or conservative by advocating conservative policies. They may be somewhat genuine until they win the election and have to deal with Nancy Pelosi or another member of the corrupt Democrat leadership. After they are elected they follow the Democrat line or else.
The Dems are working hard to pretend they’re authentic.
It should a piece of cake for them.

The only way these people win elections is by lying. I remember when Hussein refused to wear a flag on his lapel like McCain until his handlers checked him. If Democrats want to take flag kneeling national in 2020, I welcome their honesty and thank them for making our jobs easier.
They can’t just sit back and let Antifa, Soros, and their anointed mobs take care of their optics, and expect to be thought of as “authentic”.
