Don’t hire a black woman unless you’re positive you’ll never have to terminate her employment.
Don’t hire ANYbody that looks like their name was chosen randomly from a Zimbabwe phone book, you can assume they are just “a lawsuit looking for a place to happen”.
Don’t hire either women OR minorities. You will live to regret it
Stupid comment. My Financial Services Director is a brilliant black woman. Hardworking, dedicated, savvy, and gracious, I can always count on her to get things done. A friend of mine, another black woman, took a broke, dysfunctional not for profit and in a year turned it completely around. Still another black woman I know earned her MD and less than two years later finished her MBA. She is highly respected in the field of medical research. It is not color or gender that indicates success, it is education and work ethic.
A friend told us about a nightmare his co-worker endured. A blac woman he supervised complained that this guy made racist remarks to her or something. The company launched this big investigation interviewing everybody and asking if they had ever heard anyone making racist remarks or jokes. They would not tell the man exactly what he was accused of doing, and even though it was only the woman’s word, they moved the guy to a different department. I imagine it affected his career if he stayed with that company.
Our friend was a wise guy (and of Polish heritage), and when they asked him if he had heard any racist or insensitive stuff, he said he had heard
some good Polish jokes.
