If you don't want to invest in a relatively expensive HDMI cable-20 bucks or so-you can pair your smart phone with your smart TV.
I have done that and it works quite well.
It's wireless, you just have to of course have internet service and put your TV onto your wireless connection,
I use it to watch videos and pictures that I have on my phone.
I could also use it to watch Trump rallies but I just watch them on my computer.
