Mr. Thompson: "It wasn't real, was it?"

Tinky Holloway: "We seem to have heard it."

Chick Morrison: "We couldn't help it."

James Taggart: "We don't have to believe it, do we?"

Eugene Lawson: "It's horrible! It's immoral! It's selfish, heartless, ruthless! It's the most vicious speech ever made!"

That scene might have been fun to film.

LOL! It’s even written like a script.

But, then, Ayn Rand worked as a screenwriter for a while, so there ya go.

My childhood friend is a big fan of AS. She, her younger sister, and I went to a museum together and then for coffee, and the two of us older gals were telling the younger all about Ayn Rand and I was describing how I had re-read it alongside your book and how it made it even more enjoyable. In our enthusiasm, perhaps I was speaking a little loudly, because suddenly the crowded coffee shop went silent and everybody was staring at us.

It was a Starbucks in Barney Frank’s district.

YIKES! :-)
