I was worried that my wife and I were targets of something similar in the 2016 election.

We were about two weeks out from the election and I noticed our mail ballots hadn’t arrived (we’re in California). Talked to our mailman and he said all the mail ballots had come through about two weeks earlier over two days.

I called the elections office and they said ours had been mailed on the same day as everyone else, so over two weeks earlier.

About 3 days later both of ours arrived. Where had they been for those two weeks? Was someone notified that we were looking so they were put back in the mail to be delivered? If it had just been one, I could believe they had been “lost”, but both, together, is hard to believe. I think they were purposefully diverted and if we hadn’t asked, someone would have voted them instead of us. I’ve wondered since then how much of this goes on. I suspect a lot.

I can't recall if it was 2014 or 2016 but remember the story of the thousands of bundled ballots delivered to phony addresses in California? Empty lots, office buildings, etc.

As usual it was a one-day story then never heard a peep about it again.
