Right— the solvent whiffers. Paste in kindergarten has no solvents and is starch based— for just the reason that kids will put the stuff in their mouths if young enough. Harmless.

We all ate the white school glue in the lower grades. It was made of flour and water and tasted yuckie but we were stupid little kids of all colors who found it amusing for some bizarre reason.
