If the Republicans came out of the election with half of the senate seats up for election this November, that would amount to about 17 seats - counting the 8 they now hold. That would give the Republican senate caucus about 62, enough for cloture on a bad day.If the Republicans won as many seats in this election as they averaged in the past two Senate elections, that would put them in “veto proof” territory. Enough to convict someone of impeachment if necessary. You could reset the whole Supreme Court that way. Of course, that would assume no RINO senators . . .
