Florida Democratic gubernatorial nominee Andrew Gillum criticized his GOP opponent Rep. Ron DeSantis for negative ad campaigns that reportedly aired in areas where residents prepared to brace the impact of Hurricane Michael.
The Tallahassee mayor called the ads “unseemly” in an interview on “Hardball with Chris Matthews” on MSNBC this week.

Is Trump heading to Florida to rally or is Ron Desantis foolishly distancing himself from Trump?
DeSantis should have been an easy win after the last Trump rally. I can’t figure out what happened that saw his lead vanish. I’ve only seen one Desantis sign along Rt. 98 and no yard signs either. Something just feels “off” to me, though I can’t put my finger on exactly what it might be.
God help Florida if he loses to that extreme leftist.
Pretty tacky of those dems to put up a billboard with a gun pointing at DeSantis’ head.
Adam Putnam had been the only candidate to run anti-illegal alien ads in Florida before the August primary. Then Trump came down here and backed DeSantis. DeSantis won the primary. DeSantis will do ANYTHING to avoid being called a racist. Gillum is black. That's what happened.
DeSantis is a Wimp. This should be an easy win. Call the f-ing Commies for what they are. Call the Radical Socialist Mob, out. But Mr Wimpy calls them “Liberals”. He deserves to lose.
Putnam is GOPe to the hilt. Total douche as AG commissioner which like Don Corleone in FL.
Gillum should be condemned for being a Democrat. The Democrat party has achieved a reputation that should propel Ron De Santis campaign to great success.

If you want to nominate less viable general election candidates because you find the other more electable Republican to be unpalatable, that's fine, but at that point I don't think you get to complain when the Democrat ultimately wins as a result.
I don’t think Floridians are going to go from a left leaning Jeb Bush to a total squeaky liberal freak then to a rock solid governor like Scott to change back to a socialist propagandist pushed by the machine ran by the Media/DNC and funded by billionaire fascists.
But those NY refugees do crazy things.

DeSantis is running a terrible campaign. He ran an ad for 3 weeks that looked like it was made by preschoolers. “I’ll always go to bat for Florida”??? really..that’s it! He’s got a bunch of rookies running his campaign and he WILL lose if someone doesn’t knock some sense into it. This race should not be close!
BTW..Gilliam got over hours worth of free airtime during the hurricane..the Weather Channel had him on all day and all night. I feel like I’m watching the Obama/McCain election all over again.
What a deep disappointment he turned out to be. Certainly not the fighter (like Trump) I thought he was. If he loses, this state will go down the tubes very quickly. You’re right, he’d better wake up!
