Yep, almost everything about her has been scrubbed or(like wiped with a cloth?).
;-)
Perhaps because that person who testified was NOT Prof. Blasey Ford. I started saying that as a joke, and to illustrate the ease of making unsubstantiated assertions, as the opponents of Justice Kavanaugh’s appointment were doing. But, daay-um, as more of the shenanigans emerges, my ironical supposition looks like it fits the scenario of what happened. The removal of images and audio of Prof. Ford from before the leaking of the letter she supposedly wrote. The invisibility of the original, supposedly handwritten letter, which was replaced in the public view by the unsigned typescript to Sen. Feinstein. Her stated, and repeatedly announced, reluctance to appear and testify publicly and under oath, and then someone alleged to be her, does appear. Only this person looks older, a LOT older, than Prof. Blasey-Ford, and does not much resemble the few pictures we have of Christine Blasey in her younger days. The testifier's voice sounds affected and strange; no-one has ever commented on Prof. Ford's voice sounding like that before; not her students, not her colleagues, not her family. The person who testified kept looking at the thick wad of notes, as if reading the testimony rather than giving it from memory.
Is it possible that I stumbled on to something, when I just wanted to make a pointed, ironic joke?
It is getting harder and harder to tell truth from satire these days.
