Ellison (D) and Kavanaugh (R) exemplify this perfectly over the last few weeks. Poor Al Franken had allegations come up while liberals were in a state of hysteria and confusion. If the same situation happened today he’d be fine since they’ve settle back to “normal”.

Al Franken was sacrificed in hopes of being able to also take down Trump in the midst of the “me-too” hysteria.
