Ethanol is horrible, but it’s not worth jeopardizing Trump’s re-election over it IMHO. It’s a pain, but you can usually find gas without ethanol for small engine equipment if you hunt around. Some will say you can oppose it and still hold the state, but it may be a crucial state next time. Our opposition is just too insane to risk it all over ethanol right now.

Correct. Burning food in cars has to be the stupidest possible use of it, but remember we are going to have excess production because the Chinese won't be buying as much in retaliation for the tariffs.

Trump is draining the swamp in ways it matters, making a few concessions to politics as usual isn't unexpected.

After all this President has done to date, and will likely do over the next couple of years, doing the right thing with ethanol would jeopardize his 2020 presidential bid?
