Ha, you, might even be able to make a mobile Martini bar with the leftover by products.

I don’t think that includes the losses between the ethanol plant and the eventual burning in a retail vehicle.

That would make it an even worse deal wouldn't it? But if you're talking about transportation from production facility to retailer then gasoline has the same cost. Or are you talking about evaporation?

Notice the headline points out they aren’t really farming?

Alcohol being hygroscopic has to be trucked and mixed at the terminals before delivery to the gas stations.

It can’t go through the piplines as finished gasohol, to my understanding.

Then you don’t get the same fuel economy and have to stop for fuel more often.

This is a serious wrong move for Trukp.

It decreases gas mileage, damages car components and small engines, AND pollutes the groundwater WORSE than burning just gasoline. And artificially props up an otherwise unwanted industry.

You dont prop up the free market, the free market determines what succeeds and what fails.

I have never met anyone who was excited to buy ethanol.

Prove that all farmer suicides are caused by a lack of sufficient ag subsidies and get back to me.

This is a boneheaded move, regardless who is in the White House.

It's an agribusiness feeding trough and anathema to engines everywhere.

VERY disappointed if our Prez goes along with this   :-\

Not good, unless you consider gifts to corporate farmers and manufacturers of small engines good.

Disappointing.

Notice that the text actually gives more details...

While some farms were receiving subsidies without actually growing crops, others got billions even though they didn’t grow the crops for which they were being subsidized, GAO reports:

I see what you’re saying. Definitely more costly to transport.

Surprisingly, one can fairly easily obtain Pure Gasoline in Iowa.

Think Casey’s General Stores....

“Ethanol is horrible, but it’s not worth jeopardizing Trump’s re-election over it IMHO.”

You must be joking.

After all this President has done to date, and will likely do over the next couple of years, doing the right thing with ethanol would jeopardize his 2020 presidential bid?
