Dem-tards are gradually whittling down our lexicon.
They keep adding to the list of proscribed words and altering the meaning of those that are left.

It doesn’t matter, chink is a word that has nothing to do with anyones race...
Chink is a different word entirely.

“Chink in the armor” is an old one. When I was in graduate school many, many years ago (almost three decades ago, actually), a Hewlett Packard executive was giving a talk and talked about an Asian competitor having a “chink in its armor.” Several class members went crazy at the time and demanded an apology. Back then, he didn’t apologize and it just blew over. Today, it most definitely wouldn’t blow over. Of course, “chink” is as much of a racial putdown as “niggardly” is — just in the minds of the perpetually oppressed.

I worked with an Italian from Connecticut who could have starred in The Godfather, accent & all. But he had absolutely no knowledge of the slur word “guinea” (the subject came up on Columbus Day). We looked in an unabridged dictionary; the word meant either a British gold coin or a species of grouse.
Frank Sinatra believed that when he walked into a room full of non-Italians, they were all thinking “guinea!” when they saw him.
To me, “chink in the armor” means a PLA soldier in a tank.

Pretty sure, the slur is not spelled that way. What are you talking about?

Wait until they come for Barney Miller reruns because Nick Yemana never got promoted.
The tribute episode to Jack Soo was very good and respectful.

The guy is an idiot to apologize.
Why do people accept an idiotic premise and then actually go on to apologize for the ignorant premise?
I dont get it.

Detroit Pistons (and others) in the early 60s NBA employed an African American center/forward who had features reminiscent of orientals. You can still look up Ray”Chink” Scott in the NBA archives.

I seem to remember that Darling has Chinese ancestry himself. A pity he’s giving in to the PC mob, but I guess he has a job to protect.

But which one has buck teeth and is nearsighted and wears eyeglasses? Sounds like Charlie from Mr. Magoo. (but without the glasses) Charlie was Chinese.
