“Kelly, once a very brave man”
To me bravery requires that your willingness to take a risk is because of a higher, worthy cause. For instance, if you went into enemy gunfire to save a fellow soldier, that’s bravery.
But if just want to be shot into space, which entails risk, that’s not bravery.
It would be bravery only if a blindness to risk is part of the definition of the word.
Nevertheless, I admire Kelly for his astronaut career.
Scott Kelly piloted and then commanded that coffin for 7 PH’d’s in 2 flights and then 3 shots in the Soyuz to the International Space Station.
He’s had 520 days in space. Once was the American record holder for that but has been passed.
People change. Kelly has changed. He now lacks the intellectual courage to stand for Truth and face ridicule.
