When he won the nomination in 2016, it wasnt unreasonable to think that Trump wouldnt win the general election, he wouldnt be true to his promise on judges even if he won Why was it unreasonable to assume that Trump would keep his promise on judges? Lowry doesn't elaborate. But I'm glad he and some other Never Trumpers have finally come around to embrace sanity and winning. I have NO hope for Bill Kristol doing so, however. Then again BK now admits to being a liberal.

Because at that time one of their main talking points was that he was just bluster, had no real convictions and would be completely unpredictable.
