Why don’t you just say you’re a physician? I’m glad you know something about it.
I was an engineer, so yes, I was a professional for some 15 years.
OTOH, I’ve been suffering with one thing or another (building up, not always just in series) for several years, going to doctors alot, and mostly getting a shrug from them as if I’m just annoying and crazy. Only my gastro and my oncologist have treated me with full respect so far.
Dont even stay in the room with a physician that doesnt seem to respect you. But you, as you say, are a professional, so you know that. Sorry about your health issues. Find someone you trust and stick with them. One way to navigate is to find a primary care doc you trust. They will tend to refer you to people they trust. Dont shop for specialists on your own. This is what I do for my primary care. God bless.
I can’t speak to your personal situation, because I don’t know you and stuff, but ...
I’m finding that as time goes by, watching what I eat and drink, and taking care of myself is become more and more important. Junk food and junk drinks lead to feeling junky. Same with lack of exercise.
But again, I don’t know you our your circumstances. You could be Jim Fixx or Jack LaLane.
Either way, take care of yourself. Friend of mine tells me, “You only get one health, take care of it.” I think I’m beginning to believe him.
