1. Multiple predictions that this may be Cat 3 storm. There is even a prediction of it becoming Cat 4.
2. Time of landfall has been moved up to I believe Wednesday Afternoon from Wednesday evening.
3. The track of the hurricane has moved WESTWARD since I started this thread. Now appears that 'Panama City' will be very close to landfall of this storm. When I posted info at about 4am EDT this morning, it was about 50 miles East (or more) of Panama City.
4. An unusual aspect of this storm is that it is forecast to remain a Tropical Storm all the time it is ashore from landfall in Florida to where it exits onto the Atlantic Ocean.
Will the US Navy have to Sortie ships from Norfolk?
Current forecast are for winds of up to 90 mph in Southern Georgia...

Tallahassee International Airport: 61 mph (98 km/h)
Dothan Alabama airport: 60 mph (96 km/h)
Dangerous storm surge continues along the coast of the Florida
Panhandle. A National Ocean Service water level station at
Apalachicola is still reporting nearly 5 feet of inundation above
ground level.
