“”but it wont be forever.””
Maybe not but why not? Get their name on a list like the “no fly list” and they are banned from the halls of Congress - simple as that! If they reached the age of 18 without learning actions have consequences, well, that’s just too bad. Maybe then we’d hear less of the caterwauling we hear from females constantly - they want to be treated as grownups then they have to act like grownups.
A different angle but maybe this recent news cycle with Blasy-Ford will open a few eyes. I know hoping that any lessons will be learned from the female set about drinking and partying at a young age is probably futile but like they say - we can always hope. Not only for the young’uns but also for their parents...
We’re talking about different things.
I want to take away the Congressman’s right to give out passes. I could see such a rule passing... but I couldn’t see it passing on a “forever” basis.
On the other hand, I’m perfectly OK with banning out-of-order “guests” for life. In other words, I agree with you on that side of things.
But, I want to take away the right for Dem Senators to keep giving passes to new demonstrators after the old ones are hauled off and slapped on the wrist (that penalty should be stronger, too).
So, somebody gets arrested, you find out who gave him the guest pass, and then that Congressman doesn’t get to give guest passes for a while.
