Mrs Edsel was on a mission for (a part of) the CIA. She was briefed and coached. Her handlers just didn’t manage to get her witnesses on board. She was willing to take one for the team. The “witnesses” are not connected to the Company and were unwilling to jump into that particular morass. Her lawyers knew enough to not let her say anything that could be checked which is why she was so vague on times and locations and everything else that could possibly be disproved by somebnody’s record, like maybe Mr. K’s calendar.
Need to be careful going after Ford. I think the GOP is doing it the right way. Go after the Lawyers and Senators who orchestrated this scam. If they get hard evidence against Ford being an accomplice then get her too. But until they have evidence that it’s a slam dunk don’t go after her directly. It will backfire as the left will say you can’t go after the victims of abuse because then no other victims will come forward. They will say this even if she is a proven liar with emails to prove it. They will still claim it’s bad for the real victims and Ford should be let go.
