I ask because Rome denies full and substitutionary atonement and denies assurance of salvation.

Also,

24“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 25“He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal.

And

3Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
4Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?” 5Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Thanks for the scriptures...all of them are the very bread and staff of the Gospel....

Your comment that

".... Rome denies full and substitutionary atonement and denies assurance of salvation...." is puzzling.

Quite the contrary, Catholic doctrine strongly confirms what Jesus did for us on the cross and constantly assures us of salvation.

Are you sure you're thinking of the Roman Catholic Church?

Jehovah's Witnesses might teach such nonsense.

Be blessed, my FRiend.
