The head of the German intelligence (BND) was sacked 2016
partly because he released a report in December 2015 about MbS. The assessment was not in line with the attitude of the Federal Government, which was interested in “constructive relations” with Riyadh.
Once again it raises the question about politicians that do not want to see the world as it is, but as they are conditioned to see it.
Information obtained by Yeni Safak indicates that Saudi intelligence officer Mutreb called Asaker, who is in Crown Prince Salman’s close circle, four times the day Khashoggi was killed. Mutreb was a diplomat in the Saudi embassy in London and has travelled frequently with the crown prince.
It was found that Mutreb also contacted a U.S. number thought to be the Saudi envoy in Washington, Khaled bin Salman.
Khaled is the younger brother of Salman, who was appointed as Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the U.S. in 2017. He left Washington for Riyadh once the murder of Khashoggi was exposed.
of course no one listened to these calls ;-)
