THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK

HARRY WARREN

GO INTO YOUR DANCE: ”ABOUT A QUARTER TO NINE“

GO INTO YOUR DANCE: ”ABOUT A QUARTER TO NINE“

William Bolcom was one of the giants of the Great Ragtime Revival of the Seventies, along with Joshua Rifkin, Max Morath and Gunther Schuller. He and Joan Morris teamed up in the Eighties to record the composers of the Great American Songbook in his own arrangements, which are exceptional. Joan sings the entire intro, which is in the minor key, typical of that period of the Thirties.
