The problem is that our side has to rely on unreliable people like this.
She has a bill for Alaska “natives Americans” coming up. Perhaps Sen. Mitchell explained to her the differential probabilities of passage based on either a “yes” or “no” vote. My understanding is that she can’t survive without this constituency.
