It would be a means to attack HER integrity because she is Pro-Life. That is about all I can come up with to attack a woman with.

Yes - they will bring out anyone who can claim they ever had a conversation with her that she will have privately confided how made up her mind is - they will say she cannot objectively consider any case dealing with abortion....
If RBG dies in the next year Trump will need to act as quickly as possible and have the Senate move quickly to take away the “election season” argument the D’s will try to use. Hopefully they will lose more than just a couple of seats and the R’s gain have a safe 55+ majority. Yes, there will likely be riots in the streets, but that is going to happen no matter what at this point when RBG passes and a Republican has the chance to name her successor.
Hopefully Thomas will also take the opportunity to announce his retirement next year so Trump can name a much younger successor while Republicans have a lock on the Senate. Not much risk of losing it this year, but in 2020 there will be a lot more R seats at risk.
