Not specifically, but yes. It’s complicated and I’m not getting into it right now beyond what I already stated in my prior vanity post.

FReepers should be mad as hell; I certainly am. “Steam out of the ears mad.”

The reason I noticed your wording was something I wondered about:

I’m not really a fan of Kavanaugh, but it is now imperative that he be confirmed, not because he is the best candidate but because the D’s are destroying the process and the R’s are letting them. And both sides can argue “political expedience for their reasoning.

But as it plays out I think I overcomplicated it. It looks like it is exactly what it looks like, with one exception: I think DiFi saw the Ford letter as BS and chose not to release it. Unfortunately, someone else did and forced her hand. And the rest is history. Now, Ford may be batsh** crazy (which I believe she is), and she really, truly did not want to be outed, but now that she is, she’s made up the whole thing out of whole cloth.

This is where your post confused me:”...he job which most everyone saw: Generate sympathy for Kavanaugh.”

I don’t think anyone saw this as her job being to generate sympathy for Kavanaugh.

Your posts remind me of Firesign Theater’s “Everything You Know is Wrong”.

“I’ve been up all night...”
