Interesting. I just looked up the Second Law of Thermodyamics and I don’t quite get your conclusion. Can you please elaborate?

Zero waste is thermodynamically understood to mean zero change in entropy.

While it is a good idea to reduce unnecessary waste, to claim a goal of "Zero Waste" contradicts the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, which states that for processes in a closed system entropy always increases.
