President Trump participated in dubious tax schemes during the 1990s, including instances of outright fraud, that greatly increased the fortune he received from his parents, an investigation by The New York Times has found.
Snippets: "The president’s parents, Fred and Mary Trump, transferred well over $1 billion in wealth to their children." and "President Trump had virtually no involvement whatsoever with these matters".
Robert Trump, the president's brother: "Our dear father, Fred C. Trump, passed away in June 1999. Our beloved mother, Mary Anne Trump, passed away in August 2000. All appropriate gift and estate tax returns were filed, and the required taxes were paid. Our father’s estate was closed in 2001 by both the Internal Revenue Service and the New York State tax authorities, and our mother’s estate was closed in 2004. Our family has no other comment on these matters that happened some 20 years ago, and would appreciate your respecting the privacy of our deceased parents, may God rest their souls."

I can’t wait to see NBC’s Katy Tur’s objective take on this since she exonerated Sen. Blumenthal from frequently lying about his Vietnam combat service yesterday. BTW, one of the funnier YouTube videos presents a debate between Ben Shapiro and six others on transgenderism. Of course, it is stacked 6-1 and Ben ain’t in the six. He is seated on stage next to Zoey Tur, formerly Bob Tur and once Katy Tur’s father, now sort of mother. Zoey Tur still looks primarily male, Ben notes this and Zoey loudly threatens him to shut his mouth or “you’re going home in an ambulance”.
I am sure that at some point during his long New York City real estate career, Trump did something illegal, evaded taxes and hung around with unsavory people. But I knew all that when I voted for him. He has been a known commodity for decades. This article probably exaggerates something that Trump’s family did that was close to the line of legality or perhaps illegal. But even if its true, there is nothing new in this article that we haven’t known for years. Next the NYT will have a breathtaking expose of Trump’s ties to the New York Mafia. And I won’t care about that either.
That will be Mueller’s next job after the Russia hoax fails.
Yes, always can find something but overall just a new shiny object for th media to chase since Mueller’s investigation is failing, the Kavanaugh smear is failing, and Democrats are realizing their hyped Blue Wave is petering out.
Let me understand this, the IRS under Obama never said one word (or their media ‘friends’) when Trump was running against Hillary. But Obama used Five Eyes to illegally spy on Trump. Does this make any sense that Obama / Hillary / Deep State never used the alleged tax issue, they did everything in their power to stop Trump!
If these three dweebs knew anything significant about income, gift and estate taxes they’d be making 5X - 10X their current salaries as Tax CPAs, wouldn’t they?

Let's get everyone in a few stadiums that participated in this kind of "questionable scheme" and see how much of the top 0.1% we net. Guaranteed 100% of them as there was nothing illegal going on except good tax advising.

George Bush was elected in November of 2000 and inaugurated in 2001, meaning the rumps were audited during all the crucial time by the Carter IRS. New York state was run by Democrats all that time. If there was something wrong they'd have caught it.
Certainly sounds like Mueller leaked the tax records to the NYT.
