It’s not so much Conservative voters that won’t turn out, it is Independents and Trump Dems that will look at the Repubs as ineffective and vote Dem or stay home.

The point is it only takes a small percentage of fence-sitting people who would have turned out and voted GOP to stay home instead because they’re disgusted with the process.
Nobody thinks the kind of GOP voter who posts here would stay home or vote Dem.
Good point. I would hope they’d prefer not to live under the Democrats’ guilty-’til-proving-yourself-innocent philosophy, but many people aren’t paying attention to anything past the headlines.
