I was thinking Kavanaugh (preemptively), but your question raises other possibilities. Impeachment votes would flush out faux “moderates” running for reelection in the midterms. Will they enable the radical positions of their Party, or not?
But yes, why not put a few Democrats on trial while we’re at it? They could stretch those to after the midterms, with an expanded GOP majority in the Senate.
