The motion to proceed was approved Saturday by voice vote. It is my understanding that this provides the go ahead to vote after 30 hours of debate, 15 hours for each side.
If the FBI completes its investigation by Friday, the vote could happen next week. Only the GOP can stop Kavanaugh’s confirmation. The Dems can’t stop it without help from at least two Reps.
Which is not at all that far fetched.
