Couldn’t possibly be that it’s a much better car than the DeLorean was. There’s a reason why Teslas are daily drivers and DeLoreans are pampered garage pets.
The Tesla owners I know have owned Porsches, Range Rovers, Lexus, Mercedes, Escalades all sorts of very expensive cars. They buy what they want and like. They aren’t exactly price conscious. They love these Model S cars and never once have I heard them say it’s because of price.
