Incorrect. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1982.

There was a Safeway located on Grace Street in Richmond directly across from my apartment. It was erected there in 1980.

I knew about Safeway, as the largest supermarket chain in the US, by the early 1970s.

The first Safeway I ever saw was in Alexandria Virginia in 1975. It was not until 1980 that I saw another one, in California
