Yep. Regardless of what you thought, this is absolutely necessary to get Collins & MurCowSki on board.

FBI has to come back and give them cover to vote FOR K.

They do not want to vote for K as I said in my last tweet before suspension, but they have to if there is no cover from the FBI. They would be crucified in their states (even lib Maine) if they don’t vote for K without “compelling reasons” not to.

So the FBI must look at these and debunk them, just as the FBI debunked Edsel. I think this will be quick, it started a day ago, and may well end before Friday.

MEANWHILE, Yertle already “opened debate” meaning that process is now in motion. The GOP has advanced the ball in two separate steps since 1:30 yesterday. While not the final vote, it’s significant. First they had an 11-10 vote to vote K’s nomination out “favorably” and then they had a 51-49 vote to bring the nomination to the floor.

I keep hearing that Yertle “has the votes.” I don’t know what that means-—if he has the votes for cloture, or the votes to confirm.

Then why was it the dems pressing for the investigation?
