Yearbooks cut both ways.

The dems tried to hang Kavs yearbook around his neck.

The Yearbook committee choose the pics and the captions.
Which means they also choose what to omit.

Kav REPEATEDLY mentioned his sporting activities and his scholastic achievement.

If the editors don’t focus on those achievements, does that mean they didn’t happen?

If they post twice as many party pics as library pics, does that mean a person partied twice as much as they studied?

Pictures are just snapshots in time.
A SPLIT SECOND of an event, frozen.

A yearbook is snapshots, spit seconds of events throughout a given year. There are only a few hundred photos or split second snapshots in a yearbook. But their are 31.5 million SECONDS in a year and 490 (2015) students, not including staff.

EVERY student has 31.5 million seconds in a year

And yet, other than a class picture, not every student has their picture in the yearbook.

I know for myself, in my college days, my buddies liked beer (me, not so much, or at all).
I had one friend who had GREAT parties.
Parties where some people got pretty s#!t faced.
Usually, I was the guy walking around with a bottle of Coke (just Coke) in my hand.
I’d get loud and crazy with my friends...but absolutely sober.

Point being...was I a drunk partier, just by association?

This yearbook thing is a bad thing.
If we try to paint “our adversary” in a bad light using their yearbook, the very same standard can be used against “our ally”

Snapshots of a person or that persons friends, don’t tell you the whole or even a true story.
It also is dependent on the commenter/editor at the time AND
the “translator” years later.

How many kids have seen a parents yearbook or photo album and questioned “Is this you?”

They’ve spent years with their parent.
They know their parent.
And yet, the picture is of an alien to them.
How much more so for someone who they don’t know?

Fords Holton arms yearbook is all about debauchery... back then the faculty imposed guidelines on dress, but would not have understood jargony references.
