So maybe, tomorrow morning, two agents show up at her hotel room and politely tell her they are here to interview her. She says no. She wants an attorney. They say, “we’ll wait right here until your counsel comes.”
Nice thought. Never happen though. Federal law enforcement appears to be on the other side as much as the Senate Dems.
The more likely result is Ford’s attorney says, “sorry, I’m not available til next week.” The agents say “OK, we’re very sorry we inconvenienced you.” And report to their supervisor they cannot possibly finish the investigation in a week. Supervisor leaks it to the NYTimes.
