Well, after Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) requested a delay in the floor vote, the whole nomination process was thrown into chaos again. The Senate Judiciary Committee voted this afternoon to send the Kavanaugh nomination to the Senate floor on a party-line vote. There’s still a lot of drama engulfing the Hill. Now, Sen. John Cornyn says there will be a week long FBI investigation into the allegations of sexual misconduct against Judge Kavanaugh.

He will want to get into business, lobbying, or some other job that leverages his contacts. He is a Mormon and probably very sensitive to the women he has encountered other than his wife. Even if before marriage that blows out his Temple recommends.

The “limited” FBI investigation is a can of worms that can not end well for Kavanaugh or the Republicans. It would have been preferable to call a floor vote and get the Republicans voting again Kavanaigh on record. Kavanaugh will never be confirmed now. It’s over.

ummm.it is NOT a criminal investigation...theyve already been given this “evidence” 2 weeks ago..theyll ask questions, find nothing knew, the give it to the whitehouse who will pass it on to the committee...its a stall and they hope the nominee gets fed up and withdraws his name....the people that are approached can actually tell the FBI get lost..it is NOT a criminal investigation.

Repeatedly tried to call Cornyn’s offices this afternoon. Voice mailbox full or lines too tied up to get thru. Basically either not taking constituent calls or overwhelmed with calls. Either way, I need a new conservative senator.

Debra Katz, a lawyer for Christine Blasey Ford, said on Friday that “artificial limits” should not be placed on the FBI as it reopens its background investigation into Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
“No artificial limits as to time or scope should be imposed on this investigation,” Katz said in a statement.
She added that letting the FBI do a “thorough” investigation is “critical to developing all the relevant facts.”
