could there be a shred of sanity among in this move? trying to insure they will have the republican senators on the edge to vote for Kavanaugh and allow them some “justification” with their base?

This is all electioneering B.S. to show how “important” the Senators are and how they’re “working hard” (and yet accomplishing nothing). If there was no drama, there would be no publicity, and these peacocks thrive on being the center of attention. They’re really sickening.
