I like most here are furious at this cr*p Flake pulled. No doubt there is something serious he was threatened with, talking kiddy porn serious type stuff. We all know the details and this is not rocket science, this is not investigatable by the FBI. What someone here suggested, what case is on the SC docket that Flake is scared to have adjudicated. Trump needs to go all LBJ on the two useless women Republicans and tell them that under no uncertain terms, "You hang me, your party and the country out to dry on this and well your political and maybe your legal career is over. You will be a pariah and I just hope you and your family are squeaky clean, that you were not being bought to delay here. You will be found out and disgraced will not be the right adjective to what I will do to you."
I think this is all theatre, the FBI director will refuse the request and that will be that.

I suspect you are correct. Flake called for it knowing it wouldn’t matter. Wouldn’t doubt he got permission to agree to this from either McConnell or the White House.
