Excellent points and just what I’ve been thinking. I didn’t know any kids from other high schools. But mine was a co-ed public school. Maybe their two schools had joint functions because they were all-girl and all-boy schools. But that issue has not been raised to my knowledge.
I think it is a manufactured memory that maybe blends some real life incident(s) with a pure fantasy she concocted and that has become real to her.

BK himself alluded yesterday to the fact that most of the girls he knew and socialized with went to one of 3 or 4 Catholic girls schools in the area, not the secular Holton-Arms where Ford went. That would very much make sense. These would be girls he knew from elementary school, church and joint school activities, as well as some of the sisters of his friends at Georgetown Prep.
As a teen in the '80s, and growing up in a very similar world of single-sex Catholic schools (albeit in a different city). The girls I knew in high school were very limited, mostly the girls I knew in elementary school, or from my sister's all-girls Catholic school or the sisters of my friends. I knew nearly ZERO girls who went to secular private schools, other than a few who hung around my school to be in plays. Even among the girls who went to Catholic girls schools (other than the one my sister went to where I had access to the yearbooks), the full names of the overwhelming majority of girls I encountered at school dances, football games were largely unknown to me.
