By your reasoning, or lack thereof, if someone even once says something you disagree with, then they need to be ignored henceforth.

I think the notion that Orwell was a socialist is mythical, not factual. Nothing in his genius suggests a sympathy for tyrants or groupthink. Seems unlikely he would have embraced collectivism after writing Animal Farm, but David Brock did, so anything’s possible. Although Brock is no Orwell, just to be clear
