Sounds to me that the engineers where the ground is concerned in this area are IDIOTS!!! Two HUGE problems like this in the same area sounds like the ground is sandy and foundations weren’t built to handle the settling of such soft earth!!! MORONS!!! Earthquakes in SF are horrible the whole area is sandy soft ground damage is always horrible!!! You couldn’t pay me to live in a high rise in SF!!!
